Rochelle Carson, PA-C

Rochelle Carson, PA-C, CAQ-Psychiatry, is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and has earned a specialty certification in Psychiatry. She has extensive experience in Family Medicine and Psychiatry, and specializes in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders such as major depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders in adults.

Rochelle completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Mary Washington College in Virginia, where she worked in inpatient psychiatry and community mental health, while her husband served in the military. She, then, attended graduate school at the prestigious Duke University Physician Assistant (PA) Program on academic scholarship. Following graduation, she began her career in Family Medicine, gaining a wealth of experience working in a community health center.

While working in community health, she helped launch an integrated mental health service to increase access to psychiatric care in underserved areas. Seeing the impact of psychiatric issues on individuals and families, she then decided to specialize in psychiatry, and has been providing comprehensive psychiatric services to adults, since. Rochelle is empathic, competent, compassionate and collaborative. She values a holistic approach, and believes that providing care is a real privilege.
